You came from someone.
Maybe it's the laugh that comes out of your mouth and sounds exactly like your mom's. The way your hands fold a tortilla, or a towel, or a letter, the way someone else's always did. The stubborn streak that runs in the family like it's written into the recipe.
Somewhere along the way, most of us lost the time to remember them.
Life got loud. Grief got rushed. We were told to move on, stay busy, keep going.
So we did. We kept the photos in a drawer and the voicemails we can't delete, and we got good at carrying them without ever stopping to say thank you.
Día de Muertos has always known what we forget: the people we love don't disappear. They live in us.
This circle is a chance to set a place for them, honor what they gave you, and gently set down the stories you were never meant to carry.
Carry the love and set down the rest.
This circle is especially for:
The ones who hear their grandmother in their own voice and smile every time
The ones who never got a real goodbye
The ones who never knew their ancestors but still wonder who they were
The ones whose families are complicated and who want to honor the love anyway
The curious first-timers who saw the marigolds and felt a pull they can't explain
You don't have to have grown up with Día de Muertos.
You just have to come with love.

About Starshine Lightwork
Starshine Lightwork, lead by Karli McNeill, is a leadership and nervous-system practice rooted in breath, regulation, and the ancestral healing tradition of Curanderismo. Group breathwork circles like this one are spaces to regulate, release, and reconnect — guided, communal, and built for people who feel things deeply and want somewhere to put it.
Not a performance. Not a lecture. Not about fixing you.
A place to come home to yourself.
